Courtney Keeler

Courtney is a rising senior at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama. Aside from working on her chemistry degree, she is a runner for the cross country and track teams, and enjoys ceramics and disc golf. She works as a tutor as well as a lab assistant, and she is currently researching the synthesis and metalation of porphyrin molecules with Dr. Cynthia Tidwell. Last summer she worked with North Carolina State University on a virtual computational chemistry REU where she studied and modeled N-imino and N-alkylamino glycines, called peptoids.

During her visit, Courtney will be working with Dr. Boni Kim.
